Overview / Details
Program Director - Pete Cinalli, FASA
Director of Coaching
1. Scholarship is Merit Based. The only pre-qualification is
that the applicant must have played a minimum of 4 seasons with
FASA.
2. There will be at least 2 winners each year - (it will be 1 male and 1 female
- unless applications are received from only one gender) - and a
$500 scholarship will be paid to each (note: see
rule #12 below - may be additional awards).
3. Must have played a minimum of 4 total seasons with a FASA
team(s) to be eligible (no exceptions). Seasons do not have to be
consecutive - and the player does not have to be playing on a FASA
team when they apply.
4. FASA Director of Coaching (also the Committee Chairman)
and Club President's family members and/or relatives are not
eligible.
5. Winners will be decided by a selection committee made up
of local individuals that do not have children or relatives
playing for FASA teams. This could be area business leaders,
school administrators, professionals, soccer
coaches/administrators, etc. They will base
their final decision on the applications and reserve the right to
ask for personal interviews with the applicants.
6. Applicants do not have to be playing soccer or any other
sport in College.
7. Application Deadline April 1st of each year.
8. Final Decision May 15th of each year.
9. Scholarship Prize Description: The Scholarship Prize will
be paid directly to the college or university upon such Winner's
enrollment in the Fall semester as a full-time student carrying a
minimum of 12 credits at such college or university.
10. Each winner must agree to allow their name and/or photo
to be available for publicity, advertising, etc on the FASA
website, newspaper or any other chosen medium.
11. The scholarship is non-renewable
12. Outside donations will be accepted to increase either
the amount or number of scholarships given (based
on potential stipulations when donation is received by FASA).
