Discussions Unveiled

Fredericksburg, VA-The
FC Fredericksburg Gunners and the Fredericksburg Area Soccer Association (FASA)
are pleased to announce the formal release of a proposed merger between
the two organizations. The
merger’s focus is to establish a new professionally run soccer
organization in the Fredericksburg area committed to taking soccer in the
region to an entirely new level.

- FASA will once again host USSF D
and E licensing
courses. The D course will take place August 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10 and the E

Kicks off 2008 Goalkeeper Academy - Weekly Goalkeeping Clinics
to be held at Hotspur Park 
The FASA and the FC Fredericksburg Gunners are pleased to
announce the Spring 2008 Goalkeeping Academy. Sessions will begin April
16th and 17th and will be at Hotspur Park. Keepers will be grouped by
age and ability. Brian Shumate, GK for the Generals, and Danny Huerta,
GK Director for VYSA, will be conducting the sessions. This is a great
opportunity to receive professional training in preparation for the Spring

Kari'
Blosser wins 2007 Kerry Keilty Memorial Award!. Kari' is
the FASA Treasurer, heads up the Justin Armitage financial aid program and has
been involved in countless FASA programs for the past 5+ years. Kari'
has been the team manager of many teams over the years - and is currently the
manager for the U18 FASA Impact. Kari' has also been on numerous
committees including, Tournament, Fundraising, Field of Dreams, and many
more. She has always gone above and beyond and made a real difference to
the club and especially the kids! Congratulations Kari'!! FASA
presents this award each year In honor of Kerry's life and contributions to
our organization and the local community. FASA also donates $500 to the
Duke Cancer Center in her honor. CLICK

Blosser, Ashley Herndon and Beth Wilson selected for National ODP Program!
Three FASA / FC Fredericksburg Lady Gunner players were recommended and
selected for this honor based on their play during the Gunners Super Y season
in 2007. They attended the National ODP Camp in Florida in

2008 Advanced Skills Soccer Camp - Our 5th annual Advanced Skills Camp is for
boys and girls 8 - 12 and will be run by USSF licensed coaches - many that
coach ODP and Super Y!! In addition - Chancellor and Courtland High
School Girls teams will participate and work the camp as well to maximize the

players, parents & fans turned out to watch a very exciting and
entertaining soccer match that ended in a 6-6 draw. GAME
